Couple of New Things In Town
Agra opened its doors to the second mall – the sprawling TDI Mall, on Fatehabad Road, adjacent to Pacific Mall, the only other existing one in town. TDI Mall is much larger in size and will carry a variety of brands.I visited the place on its inaugural day on Sunday. Frankly, as of now it’s quite disappointing and boring since only Pantaloons and McDonalds have opened shops. The rest will take some time to come up.
I am looking forward to the opening of Rave Cinemas in its premises. I have heard good things about this multi-plex from people who have visited it in Delhi, though I haven’t had the chance to do so.
This is McDonald’s second outlet (the first is in Sadar Bazar) and also houses a drive-thru section. With the people in Agra not believing in any traffic rule or queue, or displaying any patience while standing at traffic signals, I wish the Drive-Thru all the best!
On the diametrically opposite end of the town, on the National Highway, Bikanervala opened its first outlet here. The chain has spread its wings deep into the interiors of Delhi, and is quite a nice place to visit. Hope it meets the requisite success here too!

Gold aapka… Drive thru’s are not too many here – the only other i hv seen is the one in McD, Noida, and that too not very popular. LOL @ scooter thingie, bad bad Ms NRI
Bikanervala is an Indian fast food chain serving dosas/chaats/pav bhaji etc alongwith sweets of course. It’s a nice tidy place.
And yeah waiting
Mehak – Ha ha , shopping kaun karrta hai mall mein
But yeah window shopping hoti hai … The McD here is often empty, but the innercircle CP is awfully crowded always, just as u say…

Was at the fun cinema on sunday..to watch namaste london when i quickly had a peep inside the TDI.Twas actully quite disappointing..n infact disappointing it is to look at the crowds flooding in the newly opened malls too..spittin’ pan masala in the elevators, peeing in the parkin’ lot,eve teasing openly n even shoplifting.
Its still understandable to see the popping eyes of people at the bungee trampoline or their dilemma about taking the escalator or not..but then,on second thoughts,it can b really embarrasing to find yourself sitting in the food court at a table next to some maid working in your house..and that has actually happened with a friend of mine. Not that i mean, small towns dont deserve new things coming up..but at the same time, there r more important things to be taken care of..awareness,for eg.or atleast strictness of law, that will in any case make people aware when they have to pay the fines.May it be traffic laws or rules about maintaining cleanliness..or peace in a mall..or any public place for that matter.

Reading the comments, I can surely say that Malls in USA are very clean, neat, decorative, huge, have all the facilities-escalators,elevators,food courts. ATM, FAX, straller, wheelchairs and many more.
