Movies That No One Watched - Or Did Someone?
Every year there are some innovative and hilariously titled films released; when Filmfare releases the list for its award nominations, I always go through the list to have a hearty laugh at them. This year, these are the titles that caught my attention, alongwith some of my comments.
![]()
Abhi Toh Raat Hai - Okay, I reckon a lot will happen in this night
Bajrang - He Man - Uh oh, where are the Bajrang Dal and VHP people?
Bepardah - Cover it up fast!
Betrayal - That was a name of my story once. I disown the title now!
Bheega Badan - Source of wet wet wet dreams!
Bikaau - Doesn’t seem to have sold anywhere
Bipasha- The Black Beauty - I wonder if Bipasha Basu should be amused or angry at this one!
Ek Se Mera Kya Hoga - With that DVD cover, Payal Rohtagi, I believe you - ek se tera vaakay kya hoga! Gets my ‘Most Outlandish Title Award’
Ek Zakham-The Blast - Get a Hindi-English lexicon, dude!
Galtiyan-The Mistake - Perhaps the film itself is one big mistake!
Free Entry - I’d stick to No Entry only.
Haseena - Smart, Sexy, Dangerous - Bizarre and Weird, as well.
Hot Girl - Ouch! Call the Burnol guys fast!
Hot Malaika - I can almost feel Arbaaz getting heated up in anger!
Iqraar - By Chance - No chance of watching this one, for sure!
Kaamwaali - ‘maid’ for disaster!
Love in Japan - Hope Sonu Nigam is not in this one too, after his outing in Nepal!
Madhubala - Ho hum, they don’t leave the yesteryear actresses as well, do they!
Maharani - Very very ‘queen’-y!
Main Hoon Rakhwala - but I ain’t trusting him!
Manoranjan-The Entertainment - Not too difficult to imagine of what sort!
Men Not Allowed - I bet only men would have gone to see this one (If I am not too mistaken, his too starred Payal Rohatgi)
Naughty Boy - get disciplined soon, buddy!
No Parking - What’s with these traffic sign named films!
Radha Ne Mala Japi Shaam Ki - And SDB squirmed in his grave, or wherever he is, at this!
Shaitan Ki Premika- LOL, this one takes the cake and the bakery! Wish they had added a tagline to the effect “A Sublime Love Story”
Tera Pati Mera Pyaar - How bold - Ekta Kapoor take note, your ideas are getting stolen!
The Angrez - deport him fast!
The Real Dream Girl - Poor Hema Malini, there is a contender for her title as well!
Yeh Hai U Turn - Err, is the traffic department sponsoring films these days?
So, how many of these have you seen?

Dear Deepak !
Kya aap ne film Abhi to raat hai dekhi hai? bina dekhe aap table par kyoon review likhte hain? mera challange hai aap ko ke agar aap yeh film dekhenge to is film ke makers ko wah kahe bina nahin reh sakenge.yeh film ‘’ u'’ hai aur atyachar sahne wale adivasiyon aur daliton ki kahani hai. press ne bhi is film ko saraha hai. mana ke is film ke sabhi kalakar naye hain magar is bina par aap film ke saath sautela salook nahin kar sakte.ye film kisi bhi award ke nomination ki haqdaar hai.

Anees - First up, a very very warm welcome to the blog. I appreciate you took out time to read this place. As regards your concern - it’s extremely valid. And i hv no qualms in saying that I might hv been grossly wrong in deriding a film, purely on the basis of its title. My sincere apologies.
Having said that, i hope u will also understand that the post was more centred towards titles that were a bit comical, and not per se on their content. This was in no way to downsize a film. And as you can see from the post, nowhere hv i said that i hv seen any of the films - and nor hv i mentioned anything on their content. This was purely a harmless fun banter on the titles. Nothing more.
Where my film watching is concerned, pls note that i hv a voracious appetite for the same and I always keep a very open mind, and can watch anything - from sublime to salacious, and i view them all with an open mind.
And now that you have mentioned it so, I m curious to watch Abhi To Raat Hai - lemme see if the DVD is available where i live, and will surely review it in a proper manner.
I also hope to see you more on my blog, and hope you will like the content available here.
