Farewell, Nepal
By the time you read this, I will be flying over mighty Himalayas to reach my homeland. Thanks to the facility on Wordpress to change the date/time stamp, I have deliberately kept this post dated 28th April 2006 - the day I bade farewell to Nepal. I will not get time in the morning to post anything.
I am quite confused as to how to write this post. The past few days have been hectic, and I haven’t had time to assimilate my thoughts. I had planned to write a comprehensive post covering key aspects of my stay here, but I think that one will have to wait.
Right now, emotions are strong, and I will allow myself to immerse in them.
For me, leaving a country/city/home is not new. I have been doing it since I was eleven month’s old, courtesy my father’s transferable job. Yet, everytime there is always a surge of feelings which refuse to be categorized - most are expected ones like sorrow (at leaving a place, a city, a house where time is spent), happiness (at going back to parents) and nervousness (involving packing), but some are uncharacteristic, of which I will mention one : regret! Regret that I could have done something more substantial here, something more concrete and useful! There is a uncanny thought running in my mind that I am leaving something incomplete here! Well, I will leave it at that because try as much as I want to I am unable to put the thoughts into word correctly here; maybe later when I have more time, I will try to unravel this one in detail!
It’s the reactions of the people I was associated with that has caught me by absolute surprise. All along, I had maintained a friendly but distanced and professional relationship with them. Suddenly, I have been inundated by overwhelmingly sweet mails/calls/gifts; and that has left an irrepressible lump in my throat.
Seeing this, somewhere, somehow I feel I have succeeded as a human being.
To end my stay here, like a sumptuous dessert after a fulfilling meal, I had the good chance of meeting a blogger. However, the meet details will have to be wait for now.
Right now, let me just say - Farewell Nepal , and I hope peace reigns here soon; Will miss you terribly, and yes be ready to welcome me if I come here again

Your feelings were could be seen at your face.
Birds come and make nests and after sometime they fly somewhere for new venture. And the nest that left in the tree remain there. Another bird comes and make its own home. Life is like that. It has to flow and move ahead…… Life is not for staying one place and get mossed.
But you know that the nest and the tree remain there always waiting for welcoming the birds who left them once. Like thus Nepal always waits and welcomes you with her arms spreading. She never says “Farewell” as she hopes that one day you will be back and touch her pure soil once again.
Have you heard the song by Lata di - That’s about motherland
. Hope you love it and others too
.
Hey keep smiling

[…] In my farewell post from Nepal, I had said I will someday surely re-visit my Nepal memories. It is difficult to write down all the things, so I will just mention the top ten things that I miss in Nepal. […]
